Raw Materials Used in LED Bulb | B22 LED Bulb | Just Knowhat |

What is a B22 LED bulb?
B22 bulbs have the classic bayonet base fitting, which features two 'mounts' on either side of the bulb. This is also known as a 'standard' bayonet fitting and is the most common in the UK.

A B22 LED bulb is a type of light bulb that uses a B22 bayonet cap as its base. When selecting a B22 LED bulb, consider your specific lighting needs, such as the desired brightness, color temperature, and any dimming requirements. Be sure to check the product specifications to ensure it meets your expectations and is compatible with your fixtures and dimmer switches if applicable.

Raw Material used in LED Bulb :-
LED Bulbs, like other electronic devices, require several raw materials for their construction. The primary components of an LED bulb with a B22 base include:

1.LED Chips :-  LED bulbs use semiconductor LED chips as the light source. These chips are typically made from materials like gallium nitride (GaN) or Indium Gallium Nitride (InGaN).

2.Heat Sink :- To dissipate heat generated during operation, LED bulbs use heat sinks made of materials like aluminum or thermally conductive plastics.

3.PCB (Printed Circuit Board) :- The PCB provides electrical connections and support for the LED components. It's usually made of fiberglass-reinforced epoxy laminate.

4.Driver Circuit :- LED bulbs require a driver circuit to regulate the voltage and current supplied to the LED chips. This circuit typically contains various electronic components, such as resistors, capacitors, and integrated circuits (ICs).

5.Housing :- The bulb's housing can be made of various materials, such as plastic or aluminum, to protect the internal components and provide structural support.

6.Base (B22 Cap) :- The B22 base is typically made of thermoplastic or thermosetting plastic materials to securely connect the bulb to the socket.

7.Wires and Connectors :- Copper or aluminum wires are used for electrical connections within the bulb. Connectors are often made of materials like brass.

8.Optical Components :- LED bulbs may include optical components like lenses or diffusers, typically made from transparent or translucent plastics.

9.Phosphor Coating :- Some LED bulbs have a phosphor coating to improve color rendering. This coating contains phosphor compounds.

It's important to note that the exact materials and components used may vary among different LED bulb manufacturers and product models. Additionally, manufacturers may incorporate eco-friendly materials and designs to reduce environmental impact.

Benefits of LED Bulbs :-

  •    The Right Light is Good for your Eyes
No Visible Flickering. The right light enables you to experience flicker free lighting and does away with physical discomfort to the eyes. Select LED bulbs with a lower Flicker Index and SVM less than 1.3.

  • Glare Reduction
Surface brightness of lamps can cause excessive sensitivity to the eyes. But the right light provides more comfort to the eyes, physical ease and relaxation when looking directly at them.

  • Eye Safety Compliance
The right light is tested and certified to ensure the light is as safe to the eyes as any other articial light source.

  • The Right Light is Good for your Health
  • Provides Comfortable Brightness
  • Improves Well-Being
  • The Right Light Gives you Peace of Mind
  • More Savings
  • The right light is more energy efficient and provides energy savings thus reducing your monthly electricity bills.
  • Lasts Longer
  • Easy Installation
  • Safety and Quality
